Maydor Makes – “Childlike Faith”

I’m Naomi, and I’ve always had a deep passion for working with children. I began a teacher training degree, but had to lay that dream down due to sudden illness not long after getting married. It’s been a challenging 20-year journey, but I’m still believing in God’s promise of full healing—He is faithful, and He is my Healer.

When my husband lost his job during the lockdown, we took a leap of faith and began this little venture. Five years on, it’s been an incredible blessing to see our products being used in churches, schools, and homes—and even reaching missionaries as far as Burkina Faso!

We’re both creative—my husband is wonderfully practical and skilled, and I’ve taught myself to draw digitally using Procreate to design our play mats and other items. Every product is made with love, care, and intention. The feedback we’ve received has been humbling, and we’re so grateful for the support of our amazing customers—many of whom return time and again.

A message from Naomi: How we define our vision

At Childlike Faith, every product is either lovingly handmade or digitally designed and transformed into a creative, Bible-based resource. Our handmade items are crafted to meet UKCA safety standards, with careful attention to size, finish, and detail. All wooden pieces are coated in toy-safe varnish, and each set is packaged in a themed, handmade bag that reflects the Bible story it represents.

We are so thankful to collaborate with other Christian small businesses and ministries—printers, crafters, and more—making this a true Kingdom venture. God has connected us with incredible people along the way, and it’s a joy to support each other as we serve Him.

Our vision is to eventually create resources for every Bible story. We’re constantly expanding our range, and every item is designed with little hands, curious minds, and tender hearts in mind.

We are especially passionate about making our products inclusive and accessible. We’ve had the privilege of designing for children with additional needs, including those with visual impairments, and we’re committed to expanding our range to support children of all abilities and challenges.

Creative Bible Teaching Courses: We’ve started recording video-based courses for families and churches, offering practical demonstrations and creative ideas to teach the Bible. Each course includes printable resources (for personal use) to help you bring these lessons to life.

Future Products that we’re working on:

These are perfect for storytelling, open-ended play, and sparking imagination. We offer both themed sets (based on specific stories) and generic Bible figures that can be used flexibly across various stories, since we don’t know exactly what these historical figures looked like.

Bright, colorful, and easy to hold, these help children sequence and retell stories. They’re also great for group storytelling in children’s church, working like puppets to engage every child.

From Bible-themed Snakes & Ladders, Jenga, and Noughts & Crosses, to our original Journey to Bethlehem game—these are fun and faith-building ways for kids to learn.

Our Bible character puppets are hand-drawn digitally and printed onto soft fleece. They’re one-size-fits-all, perfect for both children and adults, and printed front and back for full character design.

These large, vibrant play mats (88cm in diameter) are ideal for tuff trays or floor play. Each comes with peg dolls and accessories—like 3D-printed boats, wooden houses, fishing nets, and more—to help bring the stories to life. Current themes include Creation and The Miracles of Jesus, showing His timeless power and presence.

Full-color story cards will be available to accompany play mats—perfect for guided storytelling or independent play.

Puppet Subscription: Receive a new Bible character puppet each month, along with printed activities and a rhyming play script so children can learn the story and put on their own puppet shows.

Peg Doll Subscription: A new peg doll (or set) each month, with hand-designed story cards that include illustrations, scripture memory verses, and key lessons from the character’s life. The collection builds from Genesis to Revelation, and you can join anytime. Churches can also use the subscription as a monthly teaching focus.
